Dunga selects Ronaldinho and Kaka for friendly against Argentina
The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) released on Thursday the list of players who will participate in two friendly matches that Brazils national team will play in the UK on September 3, against Argentina, and on September 5, against Wales.
In relation to the team that tied 1-1 yesterday in a match against Norway in Oslo, head coach Dunga included three new names: Milan's midfielder Kaka, Barcelona's midfielder Ronaldinho and striker Rafael Sobis.
Kaka, Sobis and Ronaldinho will replace three other players from the national team: Wagner, who plays for Brazil's Cruzeiro; Brazil's Vasco da Gamas midfielder Morais; and Jonatas, who has recently left Brazil's Flamengo to play for Spains Espanyol. Wagner, Morais and Jonatas were second-choice players in the national team and did not play yesterday.
The choice for Sobis was an acknowledgement for his role in yesterday's Internacional winning of the Libertadores Cup title. The striker scored twice in the first match of the finals against Sao Paulo.
Ronaldinho Gaucho and Kaka took part in World Cup 2006, when the team was still under the command of Carlos Alberto Parreira. But Dunga did not include in the list some veterans of Parreira's team, such as Ronaldo, Carlos Roberto, Cafu, Didi and Juninho.
Following the friendly matches in the UK, Brazil will also play against Kuwait, on October 7, but CBF has not released the list of players for that match yet.
